I am happy to announce that today, 9/19, I actually learned something in this class. I have learned about vacuum tubes, which are basically a tube of electrons that allows the passage of electrical currents. They were used to power the ENIAC which was basically one of the first number computation machines and computer. They also are used in amplifiers to increase the power of signals.
